All process safety related regulations and quality standards mandate the development of written standard operating procedures (SOPs). The PSM and RMP regulations include minimum requirements for the contents of the SOPs. The development of SOPs requires the full understanding of the process and the systems involved. Also, the SOPs should match the general practices and management style of the facility.

As an integral part of all PSM and Program Levels 2 and 3 RMP and CalARP programs developed for our clients, Kazarians & Associates, Inc. provides a set of SOPs for the affected systems. Kazarians & Associates, Inc. engineers work closely with the operations managers and engineers when developing SOPs. We have created a standard format for SOPs that addresses all the specific requirements of the regulations and provides sufficient flexibility to be tailored to the needs of our clients.
