Experience Base – Management of
Change Support
Kazarians & Associates, Inc. has assisted several clients
in updating the existing PSM and RMP programs during the implementation
of a change. The scope of those changes has ranged from a relatively
simple modification in valve configuration to a complete redesign
of an existing system. The following is a list of relevant projects:
- Complete redesign of a chlorination system for a wastewater
treatment plant. Kazarians & Associates, Inc. conducted
all the necessary tasks to ensure the PSM and RMP program
was in place before system commissioning. An initial PHA was
completed sufficiently well in advance to allow proposed changes
to be worked into the final design.
- For a water treatment facility, the Kazarians & Associates,
Inc. team managed the PSM and RMP compliance efforts during
the system design and construction phases. Kazarians &
Associates, Inc. assisted the client in the development and
submittal of Standard Operating Procedures
(SOPs).
- Kazarians & Associates, Inc. conducted a Process Hazard
Analysis of the reconfiguration of a truck unloading valve
assembly. Updates were made to the SOPs and assistance provided
in the Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR).
- Developed a set of instructions for the engineering department
of a major water utility for including the PSM and RMP elements
to their project management practices.
